What is Nation First Approach?

The Nation First approach is a way of thinking about citizenship that puts the nation’s interests first. This approach emphasizes the importance of patriotism, national unity, and national security along with the greater good of the society. It also stresses the need for citizens to be consciously aware of and involved in the nation building process. They must contribute positively for a stronger, healthier, happier and harmonious society and stay united under all circumstances or environment, created or happen by the influence of internal or external elements.

The Nation First approach can be contrasted with the Individual First approach, which puts the individual’s interests first. This approach emphasizes individual rights and freedoms, and it often sees the nationalist or policies for uniting the nation as an obstacle to individual liberty.

The wider acceptance of the Nation First approach by socially active and conscious citizens can be a powerful force for global good. It can help to unite a country and motivate its citizens to work together for the common universal feeling of connected society, of ONENESS and start achieving Greater Good for Humanity in general. However, it can also be used by anti-nationalist to justify their agenda of individualism or family ruled nationalism, xenophobia, and other forms of intolerance. But a true and conscious citizen has greater responsibility towards protecting its true essence and step ahead to protect the sovereignty and secular state of our Great Nation – The BHARAT

A Conscious Citizen is someone who is aware of the social, mental, emotional, financial and even spiritual aspects of Nation First approach and its implications for economic and social growth. They are also aware of the impact and influence of Individual First approach and its implications. They are able to think critically about these two approaches and to choose the one that they believe is best for their country and for themselves.

The Role of Conscious Citizens for building a Great Nation – The BHARAT

Here are some of the things that conscious citizens can do to promote the Nation First approach:

• Be informed about the issues facing their locality, their city/state/country. and support local representatives, RWAs and Govt. Bodies to
• Vote in elections and participate in the political process, actively.
• Volunteer their time, knowledge, skills to help their social circle, local youth, community.
• Stand up for TRUTH and what they believe in, even when it is unpopular.
• Be respectful of other people’s opinions, even if they disagree.
• Promote understanding and compassionate connection between different groups of people – directed or influenced by different ideologies, religious or socio-cultural norms.
• Stay tuned with National Policies and Projects and highlight Good Governance by active participation and taking right step for its effective implementation.

The Nation First approach is not easy to adopt without resistance or adverse opinions, but it can be a powerful uniting force for greater good when it is used by conscious citizens. By being informed, engaged, and respectful, conscious citizens can help to create a more united, prosperous, and just nation.
